On a Windows computer, some of the more common issues can be resolved by running the program in Compatibility Mode. Depending on your operating system, the following links may prove useful.
Try different compatibility settings until you find one which works for your system. For example, you may wish to select "Windows 98" compatibility with a 640x480 screen resolution with 256 colours.
