Error: 16-bit Windows Subsystem

An error message similar to the following appears when trying to install or run the program:

• "The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."

Possible Causes & Solutions

This error message is similar to the 16-bit MS-DOS Subsystem error. Follow the same procedure, using the "CONFIG.NT" file.

Note that this file may also be located in the C:\WINNT\system32 folder.
