Numbers Up! Volcanic Panic is all about learning, practicing and using number facts in a challenging, strategic board game environment that covers numeration, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentage, ratios and more.

Like any great board game, Numbers Up! Volcanic Panic allows for multiple players so children of all ages can join in the fun. The difference with Volcanic Panic is that everyone plays at their own level. With a library containing over 7,500 questions across 26 levels, each player will face math challenges that will challenge and stimulate them.

The Scenario

• You have crash landed on an active volcano island - and it's about to erupt! You need to escape in the jet-powered Escape Pod, but there's only one - so it's a race against other players and against time!
• Get more points to put towards Fuel by answering math challenges designed to support real classroom curriculum.
• With a little bit of luck and some sneaky strategy, you can be the one who grabs the most fuel and gets the Escape Pod! The other players have to try their luck in the inflatable boat...
• Volcanic Panic supports up to 4 players per game with each player facing challenges from the appropriate level for their age and grade range.
• So roll the dice, earn credit to buy fuel and gadgets from the Shop - and use your gadgets to slow down the other players.

The Curriculum

• 7,500 math questions arranged in 26 carefully sequenced and integrated levels
• Covers Preschool through 8th Grade curriculum for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions & percentages, ratios & proportions and numeration.

• Fun narrative and intuitive, classic board-game set-up is easily understood and universally appealing
• Players can choose different game board layouts - the paths around the fiery mountain range from simple to extra interesting!
• Things get interesting when in the Gadget Shop. Players can choose from 10 gadgets that let them do sneaky things to other players. Steal fuel from another player, swap positions on the board, protect yourself from other players' gadgets, triple your dice roll, and more... Use them to your advantage but watch out.
• Math activities are customized to each players' individual level so that questions are appropriately challenging
• Players can be assigned the most appropriate level for themselves and compete against up to three other players, each at their own levels, with anyone having a chance of winning!
• Content can be customized for individual players to practice specific levels or categories of math questions
• Elements of chance and strategy within the game mean that anyone can win - not necessarily the best mathematician

• Content covers NCTM Principle and Standards for all math operations and core concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions & percentages, ratios & proportions and numeration.
• Activities first establish foundational concepts, then test understanding and application
• All the Math questions have been designed by teachers to be motivating and engaging to learners of all ages and different learning styles
